Solid Wood
Furniture built from solid lumber rather than a veneered panel.
Definition
Solid wood can be refinished and repaired, but wide tops move with humidity. Kiln-dried stock and good joinery matter more than the word solid alone—and quality veneer on a stable core can outperform a poorly built solid slab.
